Because we know every woman’s cycle is different, you get to choose what you receive, in what quantities, and how often. Most importantly, when you subscribe to Tavia, you sponsor a girl in developing country with a year’s worth of culturally appropriate, locally produced products, helping remove a major barrier to girls’ education. • About TSS

WHAT EVERY WOMAN SHOULD KNOW ABOUT TOXIC SHOCK SYNDROME.
Warning signs of TSS, are for example, sudden fever (usually 102 degrees or more) and vomiting, diarrhea, fainting or near fainting when standing up, dizziness, or a rash that looks like a sunburn. Not all TSS cases are the same or have all the symptoms. Seek medical attention if you have any of the symptoms. If these or other signs of TSS appear, you should remove the tampon at once, discontinue use and seek medical attention immediately. There is a risk of TSS to all women using tampons during their menstrual period. TSS is a rare but serious disease that may cause death. There are scientific studies that have concluded that tampons contribute to the cause of TSS. The reported risks are higher to women under 30 years of age and teenage girls, the estimated incidence of TSS of 1 to 17 per 100,000 menstruating women and girls per year. You can reduce your risk by using tampons with the minimum absorbency needed to control menstrual flow or alternating between pads and tampons. You can avoid the risk of getting tampon-associated TSS by not using tampons. You need to seek medical attention before using tampons if TSS warning signs have occurred in the past. Please consult a doctor with any questions.
